What ChiaroTraslate does

ChiaroTraslate is a keyboard for iPhone that lets you write in your language while the other person reads in theirs — inside WhatsApp, WeChat, dating apps, social and any other app, without switching away from the chat.

• Translate — translates what you wrote into one of 15 languages (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Korean, Turkish), with pinyin/romaji pronunciation for Chinese and Japanese.
• Improve — rewrites your text in the same language, clearer and sharper.
• Chat — a multi-turn AI assistant without leaving the keyboard.
• Flirt — suggestions to keep a conversation going, with memory of what you already talked about.
• Understand — copy a message you received, tap “Paste”, and read it in your language.

Setting up the keyboard

1. Install ChiaroTraslate from the App Store and open it once.
2. Go to iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and pick Chiaro.
3. Tap Chiaro in that list and turn on Allow Full Access.
4. In any app, tap the globe key 🌐 until the Chiaro keyboard appears, then tap START.

The base controls (ABC, space, delete, return) work without Full Access and without a network connection. Full Access is required only for the AI features, because each AI request goes through our relay server.

FAQ

Why does the keyboard need Full Access?

Translation, Improve, Chat, Flirt and Understand run on our relay server (a Cloudflare Worker) which forwards the text to an AI provider. iOS only allows a keyboard extension to reach the network when Full Access is on. Without it, the keyboard still opens and the ABC / space / delete / return controls still work.

Do you read what I type?

No. Only the text you explicitly send to a Chiaro function leaves the device. There is no keylogging, no background clipboard reading, no analytics or advertising SDK. The relay does not log or retain the content of your text. See the Privacy Policy.

“Understand” asks me to paste — why?

The clipboard is read only at the moment you tap the “Paste” button, never automatically. Long-press the message you received in the other app, tap Copy, switch to the Chiaro keyboard and tap Paste.

The keyboard says there is no connection

Check that Full Access is on and that the device has a working connection. If a request fails once, tap the action again: the app retries automatically. If it keeps failing, write to supporto@chiarotraslate.com.

Translation quality is off for a specific language

Send us the source text and what you expected: language pairs are routed to different models and we tune them regularly.

Subscription

• ChiaroTraslate includes 3 days of Pro access from first use. This service trial is ours, not Apple's: it does not start, renew or convert into a paid subscription.
• ChiaroTraslate Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription at €8.99/month (the exact price in your currency is shown by the App Store before you buy).
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation and at each renewal. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• To cancel: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ChiaroTraslate Pro → Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access stays active until the end of the period already paid.
• Already subscribed on another device? Open the app, go to the Pro screen and tap Restore purchases.
• Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Delete your data

We do not store the content of your messages. To have the technical counters tied to your installation removed, write to supporto@chiarotraslate.com from any address and mention “data deletion”.

Cosa fa ChiaroTraslate

ChiaroTraslate è una tastiera per iPhone che ti fa scrivere nella tua lingua mentre l'altra persona legge nella sua — dentro WhatsApp, WeChat, app di dating, social e qualsiasi altra app, senza uscire dalla chat.

• Traduci — traduce quello che hai scritto in una delle 15 lingue (inglese, italiano, spagnolo, francese, tedesco, portoghese, olandese, russo, cinese, giapponese, arabo, hindi, bengalese, coreano, turco), con pinyin/romaji per cinese e giapponese.
• Migliora — riscrive il testo nella stessa lingua, più chiaro e incisivo.
• Chat — un assistente AI multi-turno senza uscire dalla tastiera.
• Flirt — spunti per tenere viva la conversazione, con memoria di ciò di cui avete già parlato.
• Capisco — copia un messaggio che hai ricevuto, tocca “Incolla” e leggilo nella tua lingua.

Come attivare la tastiera

1. Installa ChiaroTraslate dall'App Store e aprila una volta.
2. Vai in Impostazioni iOS → Generali → Tastiera → Tastiere → Aggiungi nuova tastiera e scegli Chiaro.
3. Tocca Chiaro nell'elenco e attiva Consenti accesso completo.
4. In qualsiasi app, tocca il tasto globo 🌐 finché compare la tastiera Chiaro, poi tocca START.

I controlli di base (ABC, spazio, cancella, invio) funzionano senza accesso completo e senza connessione. L'accesso completo serve solo per le funzioni AI, perché ogni richiesta passa dal nostro server relay.

Domande frequenti

Perché la tastiera chiede l'accesso completo?

Traduci, Migliora, Chat, Flirt e Capisco girano sul nostro relay (un Cloudflare Worker) che inoltra il testo a un provider AI. iOS consente a un'estensione tastiera di usare la rete solo con l'accesso completo attivo. Senza, la tastiera si apre lo stesso e i tasti ABC / spazio / cancella / invio funzionano.

Leggete quello che scrivo?

No. Esce dal dispositivo solo il testo che invii esplicitamente a una funzione di Chiaro. Nessun keylogging, nessuna lettura degli appunti in background, nessun SDK di analytics o pubblicità. Il relay non registra né conserva il contenuto del testo. Vedi l'Informativa sulla privacy.

“Capisco” mi chiede di incollare — perché?

Gli appunti vengono letti solo nel momento in cui tocchi “Incolla”, mai in automatico. Tieni premuto il messaggio ricevuto nell'altra app, tocca Copia, passa alla tastiera Chiaro e tocca Incolla.

La tastiera dice che non c'è connessione

Controlla che l'accesso completo sia attivo e che il dispositivo sia connesso. Se una richiesta fallisce una volta, ritocca l'azione: l'app riprova da sola. Se continua a fallire, scrivi a supporto@chiarotraslate.com.

La qualità della traduzione non mi convince su una lingua

Mandaci il testo di partenza e quello che ti aspettavi: ogni coppia di lingue è instradata su modelli diversi e li tariamo regolarmente.

Abbonamento

• ChiaroTraslate include 3 giorni di accesso Pro dal primo utilizzo. Questa prova del servizio è nostra, non di Apple: non avvia, non rinnova e non si converte in un abbonamento a pagamento.
• ChiaroTraslate Pro è un abbonamento mensile con rinnovo automatico a 8,99 €/mese (il prezzo esatto nella tua valuta è mostrato dall'App Store prima dell'acquisto).
• L'addebito avviene sull'Apple Account alla conferma e a ogni rinnovo. Si rinnova automaticamente salvo disdetta almeno 24 ore prima della fine del periodo in corso.
• Per disdire: Impostazioni iOS → tuo nome → Abbonamenti → ChiaroTraslate Pro → Annulla abbonamento. La disdetta ferma il rinnovo successivo; l'accesso resta attivo fino alla fine del periodo già pagato.
• Già abbonato su un altro dispositivo? Apri l'app, vai alla schermata Pro e tocca Ripristina acquisti.
• I rimborsi sono gestiti da Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
